24 hour blood pressure monitor

Our main focus is to develop 24 hour blood pressure monitors, however, the product line includes multifunctional devices, ECG event recorders, Holters and a resting PC-based ECG system as well.

Our core product is the internationally recognized 24 hour blood pressure monitor, the ABPM-05. This is the improved version of the ABPM-04 (over 10000 units sold), which is still popular in many countries. The Bluetooth-capable version is BlueBP-05, however this is a new product with no FDA approval yet. Each device can store more than 600 readings, and can operate up to 51 hours. Compatible Meditech cuffs are small, medium and large sized. Besides automatic measurements within freely selectable intervals and periods, the patient can initiate extra recordings or signal any event such as taking medicaments or feeling dizziness. The accuracy of the alghorithm used in ABPM-04 and ABPM-05 has been validated to the BHS (British Hypertension society) and AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) criteria and both have FDA market clearance as well.

Meditech develops combined devices (24 hour blood pressure monitor and ECG device) as well to detect the relationship between high blood pressure and coronary heart disease. CardioTens records two and card(X)plore three independent ECG channels while they measure blood pressure simultaneously. The analysis program performs automatic ECG classification which can be modified by the user later. This same software carries out HRV detection and in case of card(X)plore: pacemaker beat detection and QT dispersion as well.

CardioMera and its Bluetooth-capable version, CardioBlue24 are full disclosure Holter ECG recorders which operate with selectable number of 1, 2, 3 or 5 channels. The use of CardioMera and CardioBlue24 enables real-time ECG check before the monitoring session to achieve the best electrode placement. Each device collect data on a standard memory card to avoid data loss typical of older generation Holter monitors. The memory card enables to store the monitoring plan even in the absence of the device.

To extend cardiac event monitoring even to several days, Meditech has developed its ECG event recorder line. CardioClip and its wireless version, CardioBlue are looping ECG event recorders with user definable number of 1, 2, 3 or 5 channels. Besides automatic ECG recording within preset intervals and lenght of time, CardioClip and CardioBlue continuously keep ECG data in their memory and whenever the patient presses a button, they store ECG both preceeding and following this event. Some cardiac symptoms are difficult to be detected even during several days. As transient arrhytmias may appear spontaneously without warning, Meditech developed merlin, a one-channel event recorder built in a wristwatch which extends monitoring session to weeks.

E-lite is a 12-channel resting ECG system which can be connected to a standard PC. It provides an easy way to record resting ECG for everyday medical practice with cost-effective documentation on plain printing paper. The system offers a wide range of sensitivity and speed, digital filters, Cabrera-display and comparision of different ECG recordings on one screen. The device can operate in 3 or 6 channel modes as well.
